Traction Therapy

Advanced Spinal Decompression Therapy for Neck & Back Pain

Traction Therapy is a physiotherapy treatment used to gently stretch the spine and reduce pressure on spinal discs, nerves, and joints. The treatment helps relieve pain, improve mobility, reduce nerve compression, and support recovery from spinal conditions such as slipped discs, sciatica, cervical pain, and lumbar stiffness.

Traction Therapy involves applying a gentle pulling force to the spine to create space between the vertebrae. This controlled stretching helps reduce pressure on spinal discs, decompress pinched nerves, improve spinal alignment, relieve muscle spasm, reduce pain and stiffness, and improve mobility. Traction can be applied to the neck (Cervical Traction) or the lower back (Lumbar Traction).

1. Manual Traction: The physiotherapist uses hands to gently stretch and mobilize the spine, providing controlled spinal decompression, muscle relaxation, pain relief, and improved joint mobility.

2. Mechanical Traction: Uses specialized traction machines to apply controlled and adjustable stretching forces. This allows precise force control, continuous or intermittent traction, better patient comfort, and consistent spinal decompression. Mechanical traction is commonly used for chronic neck and back conditions.
